Ok Jack is sending out the allstar ballot. I am sorry if your name was left off these names were picked as well as positions by speaking with team captains or a representive from each team. I also based placing people on the ballot by being active down the stretch. I am sorry if anyone feels left off it was not my intention.

We will be going with 3 goalies this year so hopefully teams go with 1 per period. The teams were brokeen down by final standings 1,3,6 based on standings as well as 2,4,6 hopefully soon we can become an 8 team league and have 2 divisions and that would become the new format.

Captains will be based on votes top vote getter from each side will be team captain. Once we have captains please take a day or so to get me a list of your players uniform number requests so I can make them right away.

Thanks again
Fury

The Turn in ballot date is March 8, 08.

Is the All-Star based off Regular Season Performance or are people using the Playoffs to determine their All-Star Selections?

I would like to do a rookie all star game as well but after thinking about it I think it would be best to have a rookie game after the farm league season. thoughts?

I'd agree after the farm season would be better for the YoungStarz (patent pending on that name)

I think it should be based off the regular season performance as in RL. Anyone remember how we did it last season?

Regular season stats but the human factor is always gonna play a part in voting so who knows. As for a rookie game Jack and I have been kicking it around and been looking at that Sat between the game and the skills comp. Just waiting on the final go ahead and need to make sure we have enough rookie interest.

From Looking at the Ballots it looks like we will have lots of ties and this will make it hard to use top vote getter as captain. So I am changing it to 1 of 2 things Captains can be the captains of the teams that lose in the playoffs of the teams that goto the cup?
Please give some feedback

about the rookie game I'm down with it and I think that you should make someone with the initials B.M. coach of the Rebels/Wolves/Moose side jk

Ok 1 more think I forgot to mention to honor 2 long time members of the league who have not been able to play much this season due to busy rl's but both deserve to be part of the allstar weekend we have named 2 honorary coaches The Wolves-Rebels-Moose team will have Vivy behind the bench and the Whales-Cobras-Ice Lords will have Weis behind the bench for them. You both have done so much for the league im sure both teams are honored to have you both.

I remember there was talk about a "Young Stars" game similar to what the NHL does. Did that idea get turned down? Maybe have the regular All-Star game on Thursday for SLCN (if available) and then have the "Young Stars" game on Saturday?

I'm not sure if SLCN has last-minute availability for the game or not.

Young Stars and Skills sounds good to me, if anyone wants to leap in, we got a couple weeks of time for players to fill!

SLCN should be ok with this... will confirm tuesday afternoon. the Thursday night slot IS reserved for SLH, so thee shouldn't be an issue.
